The Mobile Universe Global Broadband
Connectivity Program is a specially configured broadband
Internet connectivity program. Mobile Universe provides a portable satellite device
for receiving a reliable, high-quality internet service.
Pricing includes the Satellite Terminal and Broadband Internet
Service. Global Accounts – Larger blocks of monthly bandwidth can be
shared among users in your Global Account group.
Mobile Univere BGAN services use the same state-of-the-art Inmarsat satellite
constellation relied upon by the U.S. Navy for communications on the
high seas. U.S. embassies worldwide have Inmarsat terminals
available for emergency backup communications. Every day, high
value, time-critical users in the media such as CNN and the BBC, and
VIP users traveling on Air Force One, depend on Inmarsat to
deliver high quality voice and data communications services
anywhere, anytime.
In 2005, Inmarsat introduced the next-generation mobile broadband
service, known as BGAN (Broadband Global Area Network). With BGAN, you will
be able to obtain voice and data service, simultaneously, through a
light-weight, easy-to-use satellite terminal. In less time
than it takes most computers to warm up, your will be able
to connect to the Inmarsat satellite system and open a link to the
World Wide Web.
Once connected to the Internet, the user can access familiar
services such as AOL, surf the web, read and send emails, share
pictures, do instant messaging, even make secure purchases and
travel arrangements on-line. And the user can be confident
that his Internet connectivity is backed by Inmarsat’s 27 years of
experience providing highly reliable satellite communications to
users in the most remote and fluid situations imaginable. |

256kbps. BGAN also supports on demand ISDN.
